Do you want to organise a conference or training course but don’t know where to start? Before I became a fundraiser, I was involved at all levels with conferences and event organising for major national companies. My experience spans organising training courses across the UK for 10 to 20 people to international conferences of 400 to 500 people and more. As part of our service package to our fundraising clients we offer a free conference advice service including: • Venue finding both UK and International (including accessibility audits) • Assistance with negotiation with venues and ground handlers • Advice on themes and ideas • Guidance on systems and organisation of the actual event. • Because the service is free we only undertake a limited number of projects each year. We should also emphasise that we do not get commission from venues (though we do accept hospitality from some venues when checking out services and suitability).
